What's biting right now?
Fish do not read calendars, but they do follow the seasons. This is a season-by-season look at which species are most active and worth targeting, drawn from each fish's own seasonal notes. Find what is biting now, then check the solunar calendar for the best hours of the day and the spawning temperature chart for when each fish beds.
Timing follows a temperate Northern Hemisphere pattern and shifts with your latitude, water type and local weather. In the Southern Hemisphere, flip the seasons by six months. Treat it as a starting point, not a rule.
