The EP Baitfish builds a minnow from whisps of translucent fiber - a big-profile, near-weightless fly that breathes like the real thing and casts like it isn't there.
Enrico Puglisi's fibers solved the old big-fly trade-off: bulk you could see versus weight you could cast. EP-style baitfish are sculpted AIR - wide translucent profiles that push presence in the water, weigh nothing on the lift, and shed water on the backcast. From snook lights to albie blitzes, the modern salt box is half EP by volume.
What it imitates
Whatever bait is present - tied and trimmed to match glass minnows, pilchards, peanut bunker, mullet; translucence is the realism engine.

Clear-water sight fisheries, dock lights, surf blitzes matching small bait, laid-up tarpon - anywhere fish study their food.
How to fish it
Match the bait's behavior: hover-twitch under lights, sharp strips in blitzes, painfully slow glides for tarpon. It suspends beautifully between strips.
